Course Description
Sociology of TVET explores how society influences Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The course examines social structures, cultural factors, labour market demands, social inequality, and their impact on skills development. Students gain insight into how TVET contributes to national development, economic growth, and social transformation.

By the end of this summer course, learners should be able to:
Explain key sociological concepts and their relevance to TVET.
Analyse the role of TVET in social and economic development.
Examine how social factors (class, gender, culture, inequality) affect access and success in TVET.
Evaluate government policies and reforms in TVET.
Discuss inclusivity, equity, and diversity in vocational training institutions.
